Rogéria says that singing is what comforts her. Lucky for us, since we get to let the softness of her voice gently fill the room. On her second album, Dera, we had the joy of discovering (and being discovered by) Rogéria, who sent us the songs and asked us to design the album. “Dera” is the result of a series of Rogéria’s memories, loose pieces glued and blended from the mosaic of her experiences. To express this graphically, we literally stitched together these various parts that represent her, through Amanda Pietra’s beautiful photography. The lyrics were laid out freehand, as a way of expressing the spontaneity of the project. You can see the visual result below. But the real experience is listening to Rogéria. Listen here.
